New Honda CBF Stunner PGM-FI Launched in India

Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India has launched a new updated edition of their Honda CBF Stunner bike in the Indian market.

Honda CBF Stunner 125cc bike is now priced at Rs 64,630 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

New Honda CBF Stunner PGM-FIHonda India launched this new variant with the aim of increasing their sales in the Indian market.

Honda said: "Last fiscal we sold about 10.7 lakh units of two-wheelers and this year we are targeting 12 per cent increase at 12.5 lakh units. And the CBF Stunner will play an important role."

Honda said that this new version of Honda CBF Stunner is equipped with PGM-FI (Programme Fuel Injection) technology to generate more power.

This new version would be available for sale starting next month.

Hyundai i20 CRDi India: Diesel Car to Be Launched Soon

Hyundai Motors India Limited is planning to launch the i20 CRDi diesel model in India. The model has already been spotted doing test drive near the Chennai plant. The company may launch either of the two options of the 1.4L CRDi diesel engine producing 75PS or 90PS. The new model is expected in the showrooms by sometime in July 2009. However, there is no official statement from the company so far regarding the launch, specifications or the price.

Honda has recently launched its small car model Jazz in the Indian market which has been perceived as an over-priced model. On the other hand, i10 and i20 have been well-received in this segment and a new diesel model of Hyundai's premium hatchback will lend the much needed leverage in the sales. The new CRDi model is expected to be priced nearly Rs. 70,000 /- to Rs. 100,000 /- over and above the existing price of its petrol variant.

Bajaj Auto is planning to import KTM branded super bikes in India. Bajaj Auto has partnership with Australian bike make KTM Power Sports AG. Bajaj wants to boost their sell by launching KTM super bikes in Indian market.

We will bring KTM models here so that our suppliers get properly acquainted with their bikes and engines. It is a process that will demand a lot of effort and time. It will take around five years (for us) to sufficiently integrate them (KTM)."

Till today Bajaj Pulsar 220cc bike has high engine capacity for Bajaj Auto. Now it will not remain high because Bajaj Auto is set to launch KTM Duke 690 - a 654cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke engine motorcycle, as well as the 1190 RC8 superbike - a twin-cylinder, 1148cc motorcycle, next calendar year.

Audi Q5 will be available in India with both petrol and diesel engine options. There are 2.0L turbocharged petrol and diesel engines with a six speed manual gearbox, both engines are much flexible and strong so that anyone have a hard time to choose one of them. There is also a 3.0L V6 diesel engine with a seven-speed twin-clutched semi-auto transmission. The engines of Audi Q5 are wonderfully refined, and offers smooth and quiet driving.
